This year, musiclearninglive!2009 took place at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 March.
Richard Hallam, National Music Participation Director, and Katherine Zeserson, Director of Learning and Participation at The Sage Gateshead, provided the keynote addresses while Zone programmed a dynamic mix of professional development sessions, presentations, case studies and performances to provide delegates with a truly transformational experience.
The Festival included a major trade exhibition, featuring music publishers, music technology providers, retailers, manufacturers, exam boards and training organisations, as well as a dedicated Music Technology area, providing demonstrations and training in the latest software and equipment.
With plenty of networking opportunities during the two-day event, there was ample opportunity to relax as well as an evening reception for everyone involved in the event - delegates, session leaders, exhibitors and RNCM students and staff.
