Zone New Media is expanding its activities and has recruited a new member of its team. Lee Branch joined the company in June to focus on developing Zone's online projects, including FMSbuzz, musiceducationzone, the digital edition of Zone magazine and a the soon to be launched wheretolearnmusic site.

With ten years' experience in sales and sales management, including working with Newsquest Specialist Media and Reed Exhibitions, Lee brings a wealth of expertise to Zone. He says 'I am delighted to be on board, particularly at such an exciting time in the company's development'.

The UK Music Education Council (MEC) has recently awarded the contract for the redesign and maintenance of its website to Zone New Media. The site was launched on July 9 at the 2010 AGM.

Zone's contract included a complete redesign as well as the inclusion of campaigning tools and musiceducationzone newsfeeds and ongoing editorial support.

The Music Education Council is the umbrella body for all organisations connected with music and music education in the UK.
